An Agenda for Workers, Not Billionaires
We deserve leaders who make their commitments public. Worker liberation requires it - from the foreign lobbies and special interests so greatly privileged in today's Washington.

Young people have been disillusioned by what they've seen of America's system of government. Many have given up on political reform and believe it's best to stay quiet because the decline is inevitable. To truly make our country great, we have to reach those who have been shut out by profit-driven agendas and careerist politicians.
The internationalist liberal order that grabbed hold of our country after WW II has gone far beyond its useful life - propping up third-world countries, siphoning away our manufacturing capacity, instigating endless war on bogus grounds, and using desperate immigrants to erode worker leverage. As a first-world country with an advanced economy and more than our share of contributions to civilization, my belief is that we need to defend ourselves, both from without and within. The speculative market activity of the big banks needs to be reined in and the national budget ought to be balanced under a program of better corporate taxation.
The Supreme Court's Citizens United decision in 2010 seems intended to prevent both of those from happening. That decision opened up American elections for the wealthy to be able to buy them - making it clear that reform will have to take place through congressional action, not court intervention.
